Construction Induction - White Card Course

ICG Training and Consultancy Services Pty Ltd’s Construction Induction Course is designed to provide essential work health and safety (WHS) training for individuals preparing to undertake construction work. This mandatory training ensures participants understand and can demonstrate awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements, which is critical for preventing injury and harm in the construction environment.

The Construction Induction – White Card Course covers the mandatory requirements for working in a construction site. The program covers foundational information relating to Work Health and Safety requirements to prevent injury and harm in a work environment.

From the guidance of our highly skilled and experienced trainers, you will learn:

  • Identify and report common construction hazards.

  • Understand and implement basic risk control measures.

  • Identify procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies.

  • Select and correctly fit common personal protective equipment (PPE) used in construction work.

Nationally Recognised Training

The course is comprised of 1 unit of competency. All unit requirements must be satisfactorily completed to be deemed Competent.

  • CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construc tion industry

This course is delivered as classroom-based activities and practical training and assessment.

This course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting with theoretical knowledge and practical training and assessment activities in a simulated work environment.

Full cost of this course is $99 (GST exempt).

ICG Training and Consultancy Services requires all prospective students to complete an application for enrolment, by downloading completing the Application for Enrolment Form.

Completed Application for Enrolment Forms can be submitted:

  • via email to shaun.inglis@icgroup.com.au, or 

  • in person at ICG Training and Consultancy Services head office, 44 Cockers Creek Rd, Spreyton TAS 7310. 

 

Students may be required to undertake a pre-enrolment interview and an LLN assessment to determine their suitability for their chosen program and to determine their level of language, literacy and numeracy skills in relation to their chosen program.

 

Submission of an application for enrolment does not guarantee that a student will be offered a place in their chosen program. ICG Training and Consultancy Services endeavours to ensure suitable candidates are accepted into a learning program where they are most likely to achieve success.

 

Additional information and documentation may be required to process applications, including:

  • Proof of identification (drivers’ licence, passport, photo ID card)

  • Verified copies of previously attained competencies for award of Recognition and/or Credit

  • Unique Student identifier (USI)

 

A USI is your individual education number for life. It also gives you an online record of your VET training undertaken in Australia from 1st January 2015.
