
Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more)
ICG Training and Consultancy Services Pty Ltd’s Elevating Work Platforms Licence Course is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively operate elevated work platforms (EWPs), including boom-types, in a variety of settings, such as uneven terrain.
The EWP Licence Course covers the skills and knowledge necessary to operate a boom-type EWP with a boom length of 11 metres or more, in compliance with all relevant legislative requirements. The training ensures participants are proficient in the safe operation of these platforms, addressing both routine and emergency situations to ensure the well-being of all individuals involved.
Additional steps, including assessments conducted by the relevant regulatory authority, are required to obtain the WP licence.
From the guidance of our highly skilled and experienced trainers, you will learn:

Safely operate boom-type elevating work platforms (EWPs) with a boom length of 11 metres or more.

Correctly position and stabilise EWPs on various terrains.

Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance of EWPs.

Understand and comply with relevant legislation, standards, and safety procedures.

Identify hazards, implement risk controls, and respond to emergencies.

The course is comprised of 1 unit of competency. All unit requirements must be satisfactorily completed to be deemed Competent.

This course is delivered as classroom-based activities and practical training and assessment.
This course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting with theoretical knowledge and practical training and assessment activities in a simulated work environment.
Full cost of this course is $755 (GST exempt).

Students may be required to undertake a pre-enrolment interview and an LLN assessment to determine their suitability for their chosen program and to determine their level of language, literacy and numeracy skills in relation to their chosen program.
Submission of an application for enrolment does not guarantee that a student will be offered a place in their chosen program. ICG Training and Consultancy Services endeavours to ensure suitable candidates are accepted into a learning program where they are most likely to achieve success.
